WWF TOR Literature Review of seaweed reducing methane emissions from UK ruminants open

24 March 2022

WWF is currently interested in environmental impacts from livestock including ghg emissions. One mitigation strategy that has been mentioned in literature is reducing methane production from ruminants by using seaweed as a feed additive. The question for us is: what do we need to do in order make this happen in the UK and what role/s could WWF play? This literature review will be a 1st step in supporting the development of the work of WWF on this topic.
